One of the most important topics in Diablo IV is the Renown system.
The Renown system is essentially the fame in Diablo 4. In every map zone you have your own Renown and it's essentially how famous you are and if you unlock all of it you get some major rewards:
Stages | Account Wide Character Bonuses |
---|---|
80 points | +1 Skill Point |
100 points (180 Total) | +1 Potion Charge |
120 points (300 Total) | +1 Skill Point |
200 points (500 Total) | +1 Skill Point |
300 points (800 Total) | +4 Paragon Points |
At the initial launch of Diablo 4 there will be 5 zones. This means that you get 15 skill points and 20 Paragon points from the Renown system. Additionally, all these bonuses will be available globally to all of your characters on your account.
You'll be able to earn the Renown points just by playing the game. Which means, you don't have to do anything special. But, if you want to accumulate points faster, you can focus on doing activities that will bring you the most points:
- Discover Areas: 2 points
- Pick up Waypoints: 10 points
- Activate Altars of Lilith: 5 points
- Complete a Stronghold: 50 points
- Complete a Side Quest: 15 points
- Finish Dungeons: 20 points
It appears, that ,for now, you can skip Cellars and Events as they don't contribute to Renown system.
